Treasure Map - Pirate Party
This craft requires patience and some creativity. But it is super fun and can be used every day.
Here are the supplies you will need: 1. Piece of white paper 2. Tea or Coffee 3. Warm Water 4. Baking Pan 5. Marker 6. Hair Dyer 7. Cooling Rack *optional* |

Start by tearing the edges of your paper and then go ahead and ball it up. Don't worry about it looking nice, just go for it. Ours ended up ripping and it still looks great. Remember this treasure map should look old and worn.
Smooth out the paper on a baking sheet and pour your tea mixture on top. Make sure to mix it around so the paper is completely soaked. Leave it there for at least 5 minutes. This is where the patience comes in.
Now remove the paper from the pan (CAREFULLY - this is where ours stuck to the pan and ripped a bit) and place it on a paper towel or drying rack. To speed up the drying process use a hair dryer. Once the paper is completely dry use a dark marker or pen to make a path. Don't forget - X marks the spot.
