Treasure Chest & Telescope - Pirate Party

This is a fun craft to re-purpose items found at home.  All you need is a little creativity, paint, and decorations.

Here are the supplies you will need:
1. Egg Carton
2. Cup (plastic or paper)
3. Toilet Paper Roll
4. Paint and Brush (any colors work)
5. Ribbon or items to decorate with
6. Glue
7. Scissors

Get your supplies ready and let's get crafting.

We used brown paint, but really any color will work.  You can also use markers or crayons to color the egg carton. Also, lay out some newspaper or head outside if you use paint. You'll need the same supplies for the Telescope too.

Start painting! Now remember, these items can be any color.  My little one requested brown, so that is what we went with.  But the telescope and chest could be rainbow or any color combination.  You can use crayons, paint, or markers to decorate.  Make sure to set them aside and allow the paint to dry.

For the telescope, cut an opening at the bottom.  Then use glue to attach the toilet paper roll.  Set aside and let it dry.

The last step is to DECORATE! You can use ribbon, stickers, wasabi tape, anything you have handy at home.  We used a blue ribbon to decorate and to help keep the cup attached on the telescope.
