2. Paint, Markers, Do-A-Dots, or Crayons to color
3. Cardboard, paper towel tubes, or what ever you have at home

Get creative with decorating the rings and base.  Include stickers if you have them, customizing them can be simple and fun.

We used Do-A-Dot markers to color our rings and the base.  Rainbow is our theme with Tiny Toes Dance, so we experimented with all the colors.  This is a great time to review colors for the little ones, and talk about what happens when you mix colors.

Color each ring and/or decorate each one differently

Next, grab your scissors and cut through the center of each paper plate that will be the rings.  Make a small slice and then cut around the edge.

Now, we recommend you let them sit out and dry before cutting, but if you're impatient like us..you can set them out to dry after cutting.  If it's a nice day set them outside and the sun will dry them fast.  Letting them fully dry before moving on will stiffen them up.

Now grab your paper towel roll or cardboard and glue to the bottom plate. Somehow we did not have a paper towel roll, so we improvised and rolled a piece of cardboard into a tube then used glue and tape to secure it together.  Whatever you have at home will work.  We were even thinking of using the straws from our water balloons.

Now, let's go play! This is a fun game to play indoors and outside depending on weather.  Just set up the base and grab the rings.  You'll need to show how to toss the rings first, but with lots of practice they are sure to get it.  This is a super fun activity for students of all ages that focuses on gross motor skills and helps with hand-eye coordination.  It's a fun activity for the entire family!
