Firework Painting - America the Great

This is a fun, creative, and easy craft to make at home using toilet paper or paper towel rolls.  You can even try out a straw for fun. You don't need to stick with just Red, White, and Blue because fireworks come in all colors. You can practice color, size, and shapes with this exciting craft.

Here are the supplies you will need:
1. Piece of plain paper (any color)
2. Paint (we used finger paints)
3. Toilet paper tube or a straw
4. Scissors
5. Tape

Get your supplies ready and let's get crafting.

We used finger paints that were hidden inside a drawer, toilet paper tubes, a straw, and white cardstock paper.

Next, grab your scissors and slice through the roll, and cut little slits along the bottom.  Then you roll the tube up small and use tape to secure it together, you can even do this with a straw.  Fan out the little strips and you're ready to add paint.

Now dip your roll or straw in the paint and go to town.  You can swirl, dab, and press to make different styles of fireworks.
