Confetti Poppers - America the Great

Heads up - This craft can get messy! It's easy and quick to make, but your little one is going to have a blast popping these and watching all the confetti and paper fly.  

Here are the supplies you will need:
1. Piece of paper (any color) to decorate the outside
2. Balloon
3. Confetti or paper to cut up
4. Toilet paper or paper towel tube
5. Scissors
6. Tape

Get your supplies ready and let's get crafting.

We used 1 balloon, paper, toilet paper tube, tape, and sissors.

To start cut the end off the balloon.  Pull the cut end open and around the toilet paper tube. Try to make it as snug and tight as possible.  Next, we took craft paper to cover the outside and taped it together.

For the next step we used craft paper and cut it into small pieces.  You can use confetti, glitter, or anything that can be cut down into small pieces.  Take the "confetti" and place it inside the tube.  Be careful, this is where things start to get a bit messy.

For the finish we went outside (this mom wanted fresh air and to not have to clean up - again).  Have your little one hold tightly to the tube in one hand and use the other to pull the balloon end down. Release the balloon and it will snap causing the confetti to fly in the air.
